# Contacts

> Managing your contacts and leads

Contacts are the people your business interacts with — leads, customers, partners, prospects. Your agent manages contacts automatically, or you can manage them through the portal UI.

## Contact Fields

Every contact has:

* **Name, email, phone, company** — basic info
* **Stage** — where they are in your pipeline (New Lead, Contacted, Qualified, etc.)
* **Lead score** — hot 🔥, warm 🟡, or cool ❄️
* **Tags** — labels for categorization
* **Notes** — internal notes (added by you or your agent)
* **Custom fields** — any additional data specific to your business

## Creating Contacts

Contacts are created in three ways:

1. **Your agent creates them** — from conversations, form submissions, or scheduled tasks
2. **Webhook / lead capture** — automatically from form submissions (Typeform, Google Forms, etc.)
3. **Manually** — through the contacts page in the portal

## Contact Detail Page

Click any contact to see their full profile:

* **Activity timeline** — every interaction, note, call, and email
* **Deals** — revenue opportunities tied to this contact
* **Tasks** — follow-ups and action items
* **Notes** — internal notes thread
* **Custom fields** — your business-specific data

## Lead Scoring

Lead scores help your agent prioritize who to focus on:

| Score    | Meaning                           | Icon |
| -------- | --------------------------------- | ---- |
| **Hot**  | Actively interested, ready to buy | 🔥   |
| **Warm** | Interested but not urgent         | 🟡   |
| **Cool** | Low interest or early stage       | ❄️   |

Your agent can update lead scores automatically based on interactions, or you can set them manually.
