# Trust Center & Number Health

> A2P brand registration, caller ID attestation, and phone number reputation — the plumbing that keeps your calls answered and your texts delivered

In insurance telesales, your phone number's reputation **is** your answer rate. A number flagged "Spam Likely" gets ignored; an unregistered texting brand gets silently filtered by carriers. The Trust Center and Spark's number-health system exist to keep both from happening — and they're worth twenty minutes of setup before you dial your first lead list.

This page covers what each piece means and how it affects your production. It's the insurance-focused summary — the deep dives live in [Texting Compliance](/messaging/compliance) and [Phone Numbers](/phone/phone-numbers).

## The Three Layers of Trust

| Layer                        | Protects                                                              | Where                               |
| ---------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------- | ----------------------------------- |
| **A2P brand registration** | Your texts — carriers deliver registered traffic, filter unregistered | Settings → Trust Center |
| **Caller ID attestation** | Your calls — your business name on screen instead of "Spam Likely" | Settings → Trust Center (Caller ID) |
| **Number health & rotation** | Your answer rates — flagged numbers get replaced before they sink you | Settings → Phone |

## A2P Brand Registration

US carriers (AT\&T, Verizon, T-Mobile) require every business that texts to register its identity — this is **A2P 10DLC** registration, run through Twilio's Trust Hub. Without it, your drips and manual texts get filtered with no error message.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Choose your brand type">
    The Trust Center walks you through it — **sole proprietor** if you're an individual producer without an EIN, or **standard** for a registered business. Standard brands get higher throughput and more attached numbers.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Submit your business information">
    Legal business name, business type, EIN, address, website, and an authorized representative. Details must exactly match your official registration — mismatches are the most common rejection cause.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Spark generates your compliance website">
    Carriers require a public web page showing how contacts opt in to your texting. Spark generates and hosts this compliance site for you and submits it with your registration — nothing to build.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Carrier review">
    Brand verification takes about 1–3 business days; the campaign that follows takes 1–5 more. Your numbers attach automatically once approved, and the Trust Center shows live status the whole way: Draft → Submitted → Pending Review → Approved.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Warning>
  Start this on day one. It's the only part of setup with a multi-day waiting period, and until it's approved your text deliverability is at the mercy of carrier filters. Calling works immediately — registration is texting-specific.
</Warning>

## Caller ID Attestation

Three separate registrations control what leads see when you call. All live in the Trust Center's Caller ID section:

| Registration             | What it does                                                                                                        | Effort                                                                                       |
| ------------------------ | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **CNAM** | Displays your business name on outbound caller ID instead of a bare number | Enter your display name once — free, propagates in 48–72 hours |
| **Free Caller Registry** | Registers your numbers with the major carrier analytics providers so they're treated as legitimate business traffic | Enter business name + category; Spark prepares the submission file for you |
| **STIR/SHAKEN** | Cryptographically attests your calls are really from you (anti-spoofing) | Automatic with your approved brand — the Trust Center shows your attestation grade read-only |

A recognizable name on the caller ID is one of the cheapest answer-rate improvements available — set up CNAM and the Free Caller Registry the same day you register your brand.

## Number Health, Spam Flags, and Rotation

Even with every registration in place, high-volume outbound numbers fatigue. Carriers' analytics watch call patterns, and a number that dials hundreds of unknown contacts a day can pick up a "Spam Likely" label — at which point your answer rate falls off a cliff.

Spark watches two signals on every number you own:

* **Spam-flag status** — whether carrier analytics are marking your number as spam on recipients' phones
* **Answer-rate health** — whether the number's connects are degrading over time

When a number is flagged or fatigued, **rotation** replaces it with a fresh number automatically (you can toggle auto-rotation off in Settings → Phone and manage it manually instead).

### What rotation means for you

| What changes | What it means day to day |
| -------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| Your outbound number | New leads see the fresh number; your dialing continues uninterrupted |
| Nothing in your CRM | Contacts, conversations, and history all stay exactly where they were |
| Returning callers | Calls to a released number no longer reach you — keep your **primary** number healthy so your callback line stays stable |

### Keeping numbers healthy

* **Warm numbers up** — ramp a new number over days, don't blast 500 dials on day one
* **Spread volume** — heavy dialers should run multiple numbers rather than burning one
* **Complete every registration above** — registered, attested numbers get flagged far less
* **Let drips do the first touch** — a text-first approach means more of your dials are to people expecting the call, which improves answer patterns

## FAQ

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="My texts stopped delivering — where do I look first?">
    The Trust Center. If your brand or campaign isn't **Approved**, carriers are filtering you silently. If it is approved, check the contact — STOP replies block all future sends to that person.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="My number changed and I didn't do anything. Why?">
    Auto-rotation replaced a flagged or fatigued number to protect your answer rates. Your CRM data is untouched. Toggle auto-rotation off in Settings → Phone if you'd rather approve replacements yourself.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Do I need an EIN to register?">
    A standard brand registration needs one. Individual producers without an EIN can register as a sole proprietor — lower texting throughput, but fully functional.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="What's a good STIR/SHAKEN grade?">
    An "A" attestation means carriers fully verify your calls originate from you. It comes automatically from completing your brand registration — there's nothing separate to manage.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Does any of this affect my AI agent or drips differently than manual sends?">
    No — every text from your workspace (manual, agent-sent, or drip) rides the same brand registration and the same numbers. One registration covers all of it.
  </Accordion>
