# Power Dialer

> Single-line click-to-call with live transcription, real-time AI coaching, dispositions, and automatic call summaries

The power dialer is the default mode of the Phone tab: one call at a time, with everything you need on screen — the live transcript, AI coaching, and the contact's full CRM context. When you're ready to work a list in volume, switch to [Multi-Line Dialing](/phone/multi-line-dialing); everything on this page applies there too once you're connected.

## Making a Call

<Steps>
  <Step title="Pick a contact">
    Select a contact from your list, or paste a number directly into the dialer.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose your caller ID">
    Pick which of your [phone numbers](/phone/phone-numbers) the contact sees. Your primary number is selected by default.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Click Call">
    The call connects in your browser. The live transcript and coaching cards start as soon as someone answers.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## During the Call

### Live transcript

The transcript streams in real time, with you and the contact labeled separately. If you missed a detail — a medication name, a callback time, a spouse's name — glance back instead of asking them to repeat it.

### AI coaching cards

Coaching cards appear alongside the transcript as the conversation unfolds. The AI tracks which phase the conversation is in and adapts what it shows you:

| Phase | What coaching focuses on |
| --------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Discovery | Questions to ask, details worth probing |
| Pitch | Framing and positioning for what you've learned |
| Objection | Specific suggested responses to the objection the contact just raised |
| Closing | Moves to lock in the next step |

When an objection comes up — "I need to think about it," "I can't afford it" — a card appears with a specific suggested response, in the moment, while you still have the contact on the line. Cards are suggestions, not scripts; use what fits and ignore the rest.

### Contact panel

While you talk, the contact panel shows everything you'd otherwise be clicking around for:

* **Stage** and **lead score**
* **Notes** and **recent calls**
* On insurance workspaces: **policy info**, **referrer**, and live **underwriting recommendations** from the [Underwriting Assistant](/insurance/underwriting-assistant)

## After the Call

### Dispositions

When the call ends, a disposition modal asks how it went. Pick one option and optionally add notes:

| Disposition | When to use it |
| -------------- | ----------------------------------------------------- |
| Connected | You spoke with the contact |
| Voicemail | You reached their voicemail |
| No Answer | The call rang out |
| Busy | The line was busy |
| Callback | The contact asked you to call back at a specific time |
| Not Interested | The contact declined and asked not to be pursued |
| Qualified | The contact is a fit and ready to move forward |
| Wrong Number | The number doesn't belong to this contact |

Dispositions update your CRM and can trigger automations — moving the contact to a new stage, creating a follow-up task, or sending a follow-up text.

### AI summary and next steps

After you set the disposition, AI writes a 2–3 sentence summary of the call plus suggested next steps, and posts both to the contact timeline. The record stays current without you writing notes by hand — though anything you type in the disposition modal is saved too.

### Recording and playback

Every call records automatically. Play recordings back from the contact timeline or from your call history — useful for reviewing your own calls or catching exact wording before a follow-up.

<Tip>
  Every dial, connect, and disposition feeds your activity metrics automatically. On insurance workspaces, your daily tracker and dashboards fill themselves in as you work — and a [recorded appointment outcome](/insurance/appointment-outcomes) closes the loop when a call turns into a sale.
