Daily Tracker
The Daily Tracker is one row per day. Fill it in at the end of each dial session — or let Spark fill in what it already knows.
Two fields auto-populate:
- Leads received — counted from inbound contacts created that day
- Sales made — pulled from the Sales Log
Weekly Summary
The Weekly Summary is a read-only rollup by ISO week (Monday start). You don’t edit it — it recomputes automatically whenever a daily entry or a sale changes. Each week shows:
See Commission Tracking for how full, advance, and as-earned amounts are calculated.
Why Track Lead Spend
ROI on lead buying is the core economics of insurance telesales. Premium and commission alone don’t tell you whether the business is working — 1,000 of leads is a great week; the same commission on $6,000 of leads is a losing one. The two ROI numbers answer different questions:- ROI (full) — is the business profitable over the policy year? This is your true return.
- ROI (advance) — is the business cash-flow positive right now? Since the advance is what actually hits your account this week, this is the number that tells you whether you can afford to keep buying leads at the current pace.
ROI only computes for weeks where you logged lead spend. If you record sales but never enter spend, you’ll see commission totals but no return numbers.
Where the Numbers Go
Daily and weekly data feeds the rest of the Insurance Edition:- The Insurance Dashboard charts your weekly trends, close rate, and ROI at a glance
- The Goal Planner (also on the dashboard) uses your historical averages — premium per sale, conversion rates — to forecast what it takes to hit a premium target
- Agency rollups and the leaderboard include your activity alongside your sales
FAQs
I missed a few days — can I backfill?
I missed a few days — can I backfill?
Yes. Open the Daily Tracker, add or edit entries for past dates, and the affected weeks recompute automatically.
Why doesn't my weekly summary match my own spreadsheet?
Why doesn't my weekly summary match my own spreadsheet?
Check week boundaries first — Spark uses ISO weeks, which start on Monday. Then check that every day’s spend and every sale made it into Spark.
What if leads-received auto-counts wrong?
What if leads-received auto-counts wrong?
Override it. The auto-populated value is a starting point based on contacts created that day; your manual entry takes precedence.
