1
Register your texting brand (start this first)
Go to Settings → Trust Center and submit your business for A2P registration — legal business name, EIN, address, and website. Carriers (AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile) require this before business texting works reliably.Approval usually takes 1–5 business days, and your phone numbers attach automatically once it clears. See Trust Center & Number Health for what each registration does and Texting Compliance for the full walkthrough. While you’re in the Trust Center, also register your caller ID — CNAM display name and the Free Caller Registry — so your business name shows on outbound calls instead of “Spam Likely.”
2
Add a phone number
In Settings → Phone, add at least one phone number — pick an area code local to your market. This becomes your outbound caller ID and your inbound line. See Phone Numbers.
3
Review your comp grids
Open the Comp Setup view. Your workspace comes pre-loaded with carrier compensation grids — 15+ carriers across term, whole life, IUL, and final expense products. Check that:
- The rates match your actual contract levels
- Your default comp level is set correctly (it drives every commission calculation)
- Any carriers you write that aren’t listed get added
4
Enable your drip campaigns
The Insurance Edition ships with 15 pre-written SMS campaigns — one per lead type (Final Expense, Veteran, IUL, and more) plus follow-up sequences for appointment outcomes. They install as drafts so nothing sends until you’re ready. In SMS Drips, review the copy, customize anything you want, and toggle on the campaigns for the lead types you buy. See Lead Types & Drip Routing.
5
Connect your lead sources
Point your lead vendors and forms at your workspace webhook (Settings → Integrations → Webhooks). Map the vendor’s fields to your contact fields — especially lead type and state, which drive drip routing. See Lead Capture.
6
Set up call forwarding and notifications
In Settings → Phone, add your personal cell as the forwarding number (for inbound calls when you’re away from your desk) and notification number (for new-lead and missed-call text alerts).
7
Make your first dial
Open the Phone tab, pick a lead, and call. You’ll see live transcription, AI coaching, and — once the client starts sharing their situation — carrier recommendations from the Underwriting Assistant. After the call, hit Record Outcome to log what happened. If it’s a sale, Spark creates the policy record and calculates your commission on the spot.
