Leads can call your Spark numbers back — and when they do, you want to know who’s calling before you answer. Spark matches inbound callers against your CRM, shows you their context in the browser, and forwards to your cell when you’re away from your desk.

Answering in the Browser

If your browser is open when a call comes in, an incoming-call card appears showing the caller’s name, stage, and recent notes, matched from your CRM. You know whether it’s a fresh lead returning your voicemail or a client with a question before you say hello. From the card you can:
  • Accept — take the call right in the browser
  • Forward — send it to your cell
Browser calls are recorded and transcribed just like outbound calls — same live transcript, same automatic recording, same timeline entry.

Forwarding to Your Cell

When you’re away from your desk — or just prefer talking on your phone — inbound calls can forward to your personal cell. When you take a forwarded call, you hear a whisper announcing the lead before you’re connected. You get a beat to switch contexts before the caller hears you. Forwarding goes to a personal cell you add in settings, verified by a one-time code — so calls can’t be silently redirected to a number you don’t control.

Setup

1

Open phone settings

Go to Settings → Phone.
2

Add your forwarding number

Enter your personal cell as the forwarding number. Spark verifies it with a one-time code.
3

Add your notification number

Add the number that should receive text alerts (it can be the same cell), and toggle on the alert types you want.

Text Notifications

A separate notification number receives text alerts so nothing slips while you’re heads-down or off-hours. Each alert type can be toggled independently:

Missed Calls

Missed calls are logged on the contact’s timeline, so the record shows the attempt even when you couldn’t pick up. Pair the missed-call text alert with a quick callback from the dialer — speed-to-callback is one of the highest-leverage habits in phone sales.
Your primary number is your inbound line — the number leads call back. See Phone Numbers for how the primary works and how to keep it healthy.

FAQ

The caller’s number is matched against your CRM. If the number belongs to a contact, the incoming-call card shows their name, stage, and recent notes; the call is logged on their timeline either way.

Calls you take in the browser are recorded and transcribed exactly like outbound calls, and the recording is available from the contact timeline.
