Manage your Spark subscription, update payment methods, and view invoices from the billing settings page.

Accessing Billing

Navigate to Settings → Billing in the sidebar. Only the workspace Owner can access billing settings.

Your Subscription

Your Spark subscription includes:
  • One workspace — your business’s home on Spark
  • One AI agent — your AI team member with full CRM, knowledge, and automation access
  • One phone number — a dedicated Twilio-powered business line
  • All integrations — Gmail, Google Calendar, webhooks, and messaging channels
  • All features — CRM, pipeline, deals, tasks, views, dashboards, schedules, automations
Your subscription covers the Spark platform itself. AI usage — your agent’s model calls plus built-in AI features like call coaching — is covered by credits (see below), or by your own API key if you’ve connected one.

Credits

AI features consume credits. Every workspace gets a monthly credit grant, and you can purchase more if you run through it. What uses credits: Monitor everything in Settings → Credits: your granted and purchased balance, usage by feature, and a full activity ledger showing what consumed credits and when. The sidebar also shows a quick balance indicator so you’re never surprised.
If your credits burn faster than expected, the usage-by-feature breakdown shows exactly which activity is responsible — schedule frequency and heavy dialer sessions are the usual suspects.

Viewing Your Plan

The billing page shows your current plan, billing cycle, and next payment date.

Updating Payment Method

1

Go to Billing

Navigate to Settings → Billing.
2

Click Update Payment Method

You’ll be redirected to a secure payment form.
3

Enter New Details

Add your new credit card or payment information.
4

Confirm

The new payment method applies to your next billing cycle.

Cancelling Your Subscription

To cancel:
  1. Go to Settings → Billing
  2. Click Cancel Subscription
  3. Confirm the cancellation
Your workspace remains active until the end of your current billing period. After that:
  • Your agent stops running (no chat, schedules, or automations)
  • Your data is preserved for 30 days
  • You can reactivate within 30 days to restore everything
  • After 30 days, data is permanently deleted
Cancellation doesn’t take effect immediately — you have access through the end of your paid period. But once the 30-day data retention window passes after expiration, all workspace data is permanently deleted.

Invoices

View and download past invoices from Settings → Billing → Invoice History. Each invoice includes:
  • Billing period
  • Subscription amount
  • Phone usage charges (if applicable)
  • Total charged
  • Payment method used
Invoices are available as downloadable PDFs for your records.

Phone Usage Charges

Your subscription includes one phone number. Call charges are based on Twilio’s standard per-minute rates and are added to your monthly Spark invoice:
  • Local calls — standard per-minute rate
  • Toll-free calls — slightly higher per-minute rate
  • International calls — varies by destination
Check your billing page for a breakdown of phone usage in any given billing period.

AI Model Costs

Spark doesn’t charge for AI model usage — you bring your own API key, and usage is billed directly by your model provider (Anthropic, OpenAI, or Google). Things that consume API tokens:
Monitor your API provider’s usage dashboard alongside your Spark billing. If costs are higher than expected, review your schedule frequency — an hourly schedule uses roughly 24× more tokens than a daily one.

Reducing API Costs

  • Optimize schedule frequency. Run schedules daily instead of hourly unless frequent checks are necessary.
  • Be specific in prompts. Vague prompts cause the agent to reason more and use more tokens. Specific instructions are cheaper and produce better results.
  • Use the right model. Smaller/faster models (like Claude Haiku or GPT-4o Mini) cost less per token. Use them for simple, routine tasks and save larger models for complex reasoning.

FAQ

Each subscription includes one workspace. If you need multiple workspaces (e.g., for different brands or clients), each requires its own subscription.
You’ll receive an email notification. Spark retries the payment a few times over several days. If payment continues to fail, your workspace is paused (agent stops running) until the payment issue is resolved.
Plan changes are handled from the billing page. Upgrades take effect immediately, and you’re charged a prorated amount for the remainder of the billing cycle. Downgrades take effect at the next billing cycle.
Check the billing page for available billing cycle options. Annual plans, when available, typically include a discount compared to monthly billing.
Contact support for refund requests. We handle them on a case-by-case basis.
