Your Spark workspace supports multiple team members. Add your colleagues, define roles, and organize your team so everyone has the right access and visibility.

Adding Team Members

1

Go to Team Settings

Navigate to Settings → Team in the sidebar.
2

Invite a Member

Click Invite Member and enter their email address.
3

Set Their Role

Choose a role that defines their access level (see roles below).
4

Send the Invite

They’ll receive an email invitation to join your workspace. Once they accept and create an account (or sign in with an existing one), they’re in.

Roles

Start with the least access needed. You can always upgrade someone’s role later. Most team members only need the Member role to do their daily work.

Organization Chart

The organization chart gives you a visual representation of your team structure — who reports to whom, departments, and hierarchy.

Setting Up the Org Chart

From Settings → Team → Organization, you can:
  • Assign departments — group team members by function (Sales, Marketing, Operations, Support, etc.)
  • Set reporting lines — define who reports to whom
  • Add titles — set each person’s job title for display in the chart
The org chart is displayed visually with a tree layout showing the hierarchy from top to bottom.

Why It Matters

The org chart isn’t just a nice visual — it helps your agent understand your team structure:
  • Routing: Your agent can route tasks to the right department
  • Escalation: When something needs a manager’s attention, the agent knows who that is
  • Context: When you say “send this to the sales team,” the agent knows who’s on the sales team

Managing Members

Editing a Team Member

Click on any team member to edit their:
  • Role — change their access level
  • Department — reassign to a different team
  • Title — update their job title
  • Reporting line — change who they report to

Removing a Team Member

To remove someone from your workspace:
  1. Go to Settings → Team
  2. Click on the member
  3. Click Remove from Workspace
Removing a member revokes their access immediately. Contacts, deals, and tasks they created remain in the workspace. Tasks assigned to them will need to be reassigned.
Removing a team member is immediate — they lose access to the workspace as soon as you confirm. Make sure any open tasks or active deals assigned to them are reassigned first.

Team Members and Your Agent

Your agent is aware of your team:
  • It knows who’s on the team, their roles, and departments
  • It can assign tasks to specific team members
  • It can mention team members by name in reports and summaries
  • It respects role-based access when handling requests
Examples:
“Assign this new lead to someone on the sales team”
“Create a task for Jordan to review the proposal by Thursday”
“Who on the team is responsible for the onboarding process?”

Best Practices

When someone changes roles in your company, update their role in Spark too. If a sales rep becomes a manager, give them Admin access so they can view team metrics and manage settings.
Even with a small team, assigning departments helps your agent route work correctly. “Assign to sales” is clearer than “assign to Jordan or maybe Taylor.”
Don’t wait until you have 20 people. Setting up the org chart with 3–5 people establishes the pattern and makes it easy to add more later.
Before removing a team member, check their assigned tasks and contacts. Reassign everything first to avoid orphaned work items.
